A clipping from a Diamondback article about the University of Maryland's mascot, Testudo, featuring a photograph of the dedication ceremony in 1933, circa 1949. Also pictured is Harry "Curley" Byrd. Caption reads: "Tied to a light rope the live Diamondback Terrapin unveiled his own likeness at Class Day ceremonies in May 26, 1933. Date is incorrect; Class Day was June 2, 1933. At left is President Byrd and on right is Ralph I. Williams, prexy of the 1932-33 Student Government Association.
